Symbols of Čačak on a mural
Roadside memorials (krajputaši), the West Morava River, the Ovčar-Kablar Gorge, old village houses and the inscription “Stay safe, but do not be afraid” all feature in Dulait’s mural. These symbols evoke a sense of nostalgia for anyone with roots in the Čačak region. Brought together in a harmonious composition and a restrained colour palette, they celebrate the local landscape, heritage and identity.

Dušan Rajić, better known as Dulait, is a Serbian street artist and trained architect based in Belgrade. He developed his artistic practice through graffiti culture and has gradually established a distinctive approach to drawing, graffiti and mural painting. His work places particular emphasis on characters, composition and the relationship between an artwork and the space it occupies. Alongside his artistic practice, he is interested in how street art can engage with local communities and reflect their identity. At the 2024 DUK Festival in Čačak, he created a mural inspired by the region's local motifs and cultural heritage.
